On the 12th and 13th of September, Friedrich Vollmer Feinmessgerätebau GmbH organized the 85th meeting of expert committee for rolling from the DGM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde e.V.).

The conference itself was organized in the Hotel "Vierjahreszeiten" in Iserlohn. Afterwards the participants took the opportunity of a company visit of Vollmer.

The meeting was around cold rolling and got through relevant speeches a special focus on thickness measurement, degreasing, process data analysis and research funding. Mr. Heinrich Bauer, Director of the expert committee for rolling and production manager of cold working at company Vacuumschmelze in Hanau, led the approximately 60 participants from German cold rolling mills through the program.

During the company visit of Vollmer, the participants were not only able to see Vollmer's modern and well-organized company, but also various machines for current orders, such as laser thickness gauges and an offline cross-profile measuring system.

Banddickenmessung höchster Präzision

The MEFORM 2017 took place on 15 and 16 March 2017 at the Institute for Metalforming of the Technical University of Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. „Auf Draht!“ – Neue Erkenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der Drahtherstellung und -verarbeitung, was the subjet of the event.
